Who is Jesus, and did he died or alive

                                   (Who is Jesus

The question that I would like for us to look at today is who exactly was Jesus. Was Jesus a good man as the secularist will say, or was He merely a prophet divine as some other religions will teach? Well to find out who He was exactly, we need to turn to what the scriptures have to say. Now while it is true He was that great Prophet spoken of by Moses in Deuteronomy 18:15 which states “ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prohet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear.” Of which the apostle Peter in acts 3:20-26 tells us that Jesus was that great Prophet, when he says and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy Prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said to the fathers, The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. ‘ And it shall be that every soul who will not hear That Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ “Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. You are sons of the Prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in your seed all these families of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.” But Jesus was not only that great Prophet, but He is also our High priest, according to (Zechariah 6:12-13) and psalm 110:4 which states The Lord has sworn and will not relent, You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.” Now the writer of the book of Hebrews tells us in (Hebrews 5:5-9) that Jesus is the fulfillment of (psalm 110:4) But Scripture also teaches us that Jesus is King, according to (1Timothy 6:14-15That you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christs appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.) But Revelation 17:14;19:11-16 also teaches us that Jesus is King. Finally we learn from scripture that Jesus is the Messiah, the suffering servant according to (Isaiah 53) which says. Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, everyone, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When you make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.” Now in (acts 8:26-35) when the Ethiopian eunuch asked Phillip of whom the prophet was speaking of, Phillip began at that passage and preached Jesus to him. Now in conclusion we learn from the Bible that Jesus is not only that great Prophet, but that Hes also our High priest, the King of Kings, and the Messiah.

Now after learning who Jesus is, one must ask the question of how does one obtain salvation in Christ. And the answer is. (1) we must hear the word of God. (Romans 10:14) (2) believe that Jesus is the Christ. (Romans 10:17) (3) we must repent of our sins. (Acts 17:30;2:38) (4) we are commanded to confess with the mouth that Jesus is the Christ. (Matthew 10:32-33;Luke 12:8-9) and finally in order to have our sins forgiven we must be baptized for the forgiveness of sins. (Acts 2:38; mark 16:16; 1st Peter 3:21).?)
