LIFE, BREATH, & EVERYTHING... Acts 17:24-25
LIFE, BREATH, & EVERYTHING...
Acts 17:24-25
Listen to these words from Acts 17:24-25, "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else."
It is really important to understand that our God does not reside in physical buildings. The temple God resides in is the temple of our hearts. Scripture teaches that God inhabits the praises of His people (see: Psalm 22:3, "Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises." The word enthroned also means dwells/inhabits. Another rendering, "But you are Holy, enthroned in (dwelling in) the praises of Israel").
God is the source of everything we have, everything we need, and everything we could ever truly want or desire. Paul says He gives us life, and breath, and everything else. Let's praise Him for that.
Lord, may our hearts be a suitable home for your Spirit's presence. We thank you that you are our all in all. Amen.
