Tems: She deserves the tag as 'Queen of Afrobeats' if these 3 important aspects are considered

Quite interestingly, in the past few days, the salient argument has once again resurfaced on social media; and, it is about whether or not Tems deserves the tag as Nigeria's 'Queen of Afrobeats'. Obviously, of course there are some other female artists in the Nigerian music industry who equally deserve the honourable tag; however, in this moment, I believe that Tems deserves to be acclaimed as Nigeria's 'Queen of Afrobeats' ahead of her female colleagues. And, don't get me wrong, me confirming Tems should not be seen as a way of being sympathetic towards her, NO. Notably, I strongly believe that the soulful songstress deserves to be referred to as 'Queen of Afrobeats', particularly, as she edges out any other Nigerian female artists in 3 important aspects, as highlighted below:

Billboard Hot 100 music chart is arguably the world's most prestigious music chart, and one that every top artist wants to be recognized with. Interestingly, just a few days ago Tems broke a significant music chart record - previously held by Wizkid - as she now becomes the outright African artist with the highest number of songs (5) debuted on the Billboard Hot 100. Currently, the 5 songs on the chart includes featured songs with top artists such as Beyonce, Drake, and Future. And what better way to recognize a true Afrobeats diva than that.

Regardless of the obvious never-ending challenges in the music industry, Tems has been able to manage a good level of consistency with her music craft. Yes, she is relatively a 'new' female artist who is experiencing her first major breakthrough to stardom; nonetheless, at least for the past over 19 months, she is consistently churning out great, inspiring music spiced with pure quality delivery.
