 “I am not in a rush to marry or have kids”- 38 years old Sister Derby reveals

Deborah Osei Bonsu, better known by her stage name Sister Derby, is a phenomenal musician and model from Ghana. In a recent interview, she stated that she is not in a rush to get married or have children.

It is important to keep in mind that Sister Derby’s romance with the musician Medikal did not have a happy ending, and that the fact that they broke up became public knowledge. Due to the fact that they are no longer together, Sister Derby and Fella Makafui, who is currently Medikal’s wife, have had some tension between them.

The musician expressed her contentment with the new relationship she has begun with her new man during an interview that aired on Ameyaw TV. She also mentioned that she is not in a rush to be married.

“I am not desperate for marriage at all. If I don’t get married or have children, I am still happy and fine with myself. I don’t feel like it is the end of the world because of it, I have always been independent.

I’m not rushing for marriage. Will it bring me 5 million dollars?” she asked.

A piece of advice that Sister Derby gave to young ladies who had not yet married was that they should not give in to the pressures that are put on them by society and end up in an abusive marriage.

“Don’t force yourself into marriage because of societal pressures. Make sure that’s the right partner for you, understand each, have good communication, and enjoy each other’s company,” she noted.

She stated that she does not see the sense in hiding her new boyfriend if he is serious and if he makes her feel comfortable. This was her explanation for why she has always flaunted her new lover in public.

I am the kind of person that likes to be free and not stressed. Hiding, pretending, and calculating are very stressful to me. But if I am comfortable and the person is showing signs of seriousness why should I be hiding? Why should I care about society? everybody goes through relationships and breakups.

“The truth is if you’re comfortable with someone and enjoy their company then you want to be around them all the time. My partner enjoys my company and so do I,” she stressed.
