Reality TV star and BBN season 7 winner, Phyna has recently stated how common abortion is among women while telling her own story on how and why she had to take out her pregnancy twice in the past.

The star stated this in an interview she granted Punch News recently where she opened up about herself.

However, when asked why she got rid of her past pregnancies, Phyna started of by stating that about 98 women would have gotten rid of their pregnancies at a point in their lives if there happens to be one hundred women in the country, so people shouldn’t judge her;

As for my reason for taking abortion pills, if there are 100 women in Nigeria today, 98 have done abortion. So no one should judge me. I was in a 12-year relationship then and I was so young…”

Phyna revealed she had her first abortion at age 19 because she couldn’t go home to tell her parents that she was pregnant. She further revealed that she got rid of her second pregnancy at 24 years. She explained that she wanted to keep the second pregnancy, but her relationship became toxic and her then lover abused her physically. The BBNaija star also detailed that both pregnancies were still at the early stage (2-3 weeks), such that she could just use tablets to get rid of them.
